Our school in the community

Buderim residents know the importance of working together to lend a hand and connecting with each other. They’re the sort of people that smile and say hello in the street, and it’s a place where people know each other's names. Our school takes pride in not only being a centre of excellence in the community; but also helping children to grow and prosper by offering ample community connection opportunities.
We hold many community events on our school premises, including the morning ANZAC Day ceremony and Australia Day celebrations, and students participate with pride in both parades.
We also run a community kitchen, which endeavours to provide nourishing home-cooked meals, free of processed ingredients, to members of the school community who are in need of assistance.
About our Community Kitchen:
Our community kitchen is inclusive to all who wish to volunteer their time and skills and offers an opportunity for new members of the school community to meet like-minded people while giving to families experiencing an urgent situation and fostering kindness.
All meals are prepared to the highest level of standards in the 'Hall for All' kitchen (we also promise to 'conceal' the vegetables in every meal, ensuring our food meets the criteria of all family members).
This service stems from goodwill, support and consideration and is not in any way a vehicle for public relations or promotions.
Cash donations are appreciatively accepted from both private and corporate members of our community partners and allow us to purchase quality, fresh and organic ingredients close to 'cook up' dates when our volunteer kitchen hands and cooks go to work in preparing delicious, nourishing meals.
We gratefully receive food donations of 'dry' ingredients such as rice, pasta, olive oil, passata (tomato cooking sauce) and coconut cream, and conscientiously work to minimise waste.
Every one of our scrumptious meals is lovingly ladled into eco-friendly packaging, recorded on our registry and stored in the (donated) freezer with our school chaplain.
Our nourishing meals are then offered to families and members of our beautiful school community in direct need of assistance toiling through a difficult time.
We respectfully advocate confidentiality at all times and merely seek to offer obligation free support to all who find themselves in need of a little help to simply 'feed the family' when challenging times arise.
Should you wish to learn more, offer a donation, volunteer or have a chat with our humbly compassionate and charismatic 'Chappy Dave', please feel welcome to pay a visit at school.
